Bic Porn

My Bic Crystal fetish is already pretty well documented, so I just want to point out this page full of amazing things being done with Bic pens.  My favorite design is the first one pictured, the eating utensil pen caps.  This is probably impractical (food on yer pens), but I would replace all of my silverware with these, and when people rolled their eyes and said, “Oh, get it?  He’s a writer.  He’s trying to be eccentric,” me and my Bic pen eating utensils would just share a knowing glance across the room, because our love doesn’t need your approval, and we’ll let you know when your opinion starts to matter. Hmmm...

Aside from the fact that too much attachment to writing instruments seems in some way ... wrong? I am partial to (and find myself oddly coveting) the chandelier.

I have long espoused the quality of the 19 cent Bic - when i wrote all my manuscripts by hand, that was my weapon of choice. I was in the US Navy at the time, and their free Skilcraft models were too short for my over-long finger, notoriously unreliable, and the pen clip dug into your finger over time.

Bic is still the king.
