Well, White People Are Bitches
And to follow up on the previous post, looks like Hillary’s been out making the rounds, trying to build a case for her greater “electability”:
I have a much broader base to build a winning coalition on… Sen. Obama’s support among working, hard-working Americans, white Americans, is weakening again… There’s a pattern emerging here.
Oh, poor hard-working white people. I remember all that footage back in 2005 of stranded, starving white people in New Orleans trying to get help or find a way out of the city. I remember when Toby Keith got on TV and excoriated President Bush because he “doesn’t care about white people.” Oh, and don’t forget about slavery, when millions of black people forced rich, white landowners to feed and clothe them for centuries, and all the black people did was a few odd jobs and invent Jazz. Man, we need to do something to make all these white people happy, before they riot or something.

I turned to MSNBC this morning and saw a debate regarding whether democrats should call for Hilary to drop out of the race. Which, of course, signifies that Hilary is already out of the race. Christ, even Kerry said "Hilary as earned the right to make this decision on her own terms" which, translated from his almost unintelligible double-speak, means "go the hell home so we can try to beat the white guy."
Her attempts to reiterate the same message from six months ago is tired. That said, I still remain skeptical that "middle America" will vote for a minority candidate. I understand Hilary's point- but apparently her own party is ready to roll the dice.
Yeah, well, if middle America isn't ready for a minority candidate in 2008, they deserve $8.00 gas, perpetual war, perpetual economic depression, little if any civil rights, and, I don't know, a plague of locusts. How does that sound?
