Nowhere to Run
Taegan Goddard points to this Gallup article arguing that there are only 5 states with “significant Republican majorities” compared to 35 with Democratic majorities. This is typical Red America/Blue America bullshit, but it pleases me just the same.

Never underestimate the ability of the American electorate to vote against its own interests in the name of ignorance. The map is nice, but I think the balance is a lot more precarious than Obama's "landslide" suggests.
These reactionary bastards are already mobilizing and it's going to be a rough ride in 2010's congressional election.
Yes, and honestly I think the biggest hurdle Obama might have for reelection is not if he fails, but if he succeeds. This country has proven that it like GOP presidents when times are good.
