True, but I think our previous crop of servants in the Justice Dept. would never have let these see the light of day. I just wanted to applaud the fact that, having had an internal debate about whether these memos should be released, the Obama Administration made a tough decision.
It's also worth mentioning that portions of the memos are still blacked out (or "redacted" as they say on the teevee), which is fair.

They were talking about this on MSNBC today and I just thought, "If this is what it takes to defend the American way of life, all is lost."
This doesn't defend the American way of life, it destroys it.
(Errr. "This" is the memos, not their release.)
