Mountain Goats on Colbert Report

Yes, dear reader, you heard me right. The Mountain Goats are going to appear on the Colbert Report on Tuesday, October 6th. I have it on good authority that this is so. If you do not know who the Mountain Goats are, I present to you “The Recognition Scene,” which is about robbing a candy store.

It may confuse you to see that the Mountain Goats are, in fact, one person. This should not confuse you.

Clarification: The Mountain Goats are mainly the project of singer/songwriter John Darnielle, that is obvious, but Peter Hughes has been playing with him for something like 8 years and John Wurster has been on drums with him for 3 years. These people do play on the records with him, tour with him, and are considered part of the band as opposed to hired hands.
