Invitation to a Beheading
It looks like Obama is setting up his own televised pow-wow, and he’s invited the Republicans to sit in:
Mr. Obama challenged Republicans to attend the meeting with their plans for lowering the cost of health insurance and expanding coverage to more than 30 million uninsured Americans. Republican leaders said they welcomed the opportunity and called on Democrats to start the debate from scratch, which the president said he would not do.
Is the president just gloating over his absolute pummeling of God’s Own Party on their own turf? I fucking hope so.

He's certainly gloating (or perhaps his staff is). The Republicans are (or should be; I don't want to think they're ALL as stupid as some of them are) prepping intently, with hard questions that are difficult to answer with simple dogma. He'll have to be seriously on his game. He can't just WIN; he has to show conclusively why he's right - or that, if he's not, that he's willing to change. In a sense, it's the Biden-Palin debates again.
